Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our site maintenance operations, ensuring optimal equipment performance and supporting our journey toward “best in class” manufacturing standards. You’ll play a key role in improving Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and Maintenance KPIs, while embedding Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S tools into daily operations. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all site maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with Heidelberg Materials’ Integrated Management System (IMS). Champion health, safety, and environmental standards, creating and implementing continuous improvement plans. Supervise engineering and maintenance contractors, as well as the on-site TPM team. Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and company regulations. Maintain and develop the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support proactive maintenance strategies. Communicate engineering plans effectively with operations staff and external contractors. Support site operations during shutdowns, weekends, and emergencies as required. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies. Skilled in contractor management and compliance oversight. Proficient in using CMMS and maintenance planning tools. Flexible and reliable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team leadership. Education/Qualification Proficient and competent in mechanical engineering T ime served apprentice or NVQ maintenance engineering or experience in a maintenance engineering-based role Basic understanding and skills of Microsoft Office / IT Literate Electrical engineering proficiency is a bonus IOSH Managing Safely Full Heidelberg training can be given but experience in a similar role would be advantageous Why Join Us?
