A garden products manufacturer just outside the Stourport-on-Severn area is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be a hardworking and adaptable Supervisor with a strong technical background within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating strong leadership abilities, either as a Senior Engineer, Team Lead, or Supervisor. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and provide planned, preventative maintenance expertise alongside responses to reactive breakdowns while supervising a team of four.

The Maintenance Supervisor will operate on a night shift.
Role: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Stourport-on-Severn
Salary: GBP 41,000 - GBP 47,000 + overtime opportunities
Shift: Permanent nights (Sun - Thu) (40 hours)
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Provide direct line management to the shift maintenance team, ensure team welfare, and adherence to company policies and procedures. Manage holiday requests, support return-to-work processes, and disciplinary actions when required.
* Training and Development: Deliver on-the-job training, identify skill gaps, and collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to develop training plans.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with shift supervisors, production managers, and other departments to ensure effective task handovers, address issues, and align maintenance with production goals.
* Breakdown Response: Respond promptly to urgent mechanical, electrical, or facility-related issues, minimize production disruption, and document all tasks clearly at shift change.
* Preventative Maintenance: Oversee execution of all PPM tasks, ensure no overdue tasks, and track in the CMMS.
* Performance Monitoring: Contribute to improving OEE by maximizing equipment availability.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, log work in CMMS.
* Inventory Management: Track spare parts and consumables, follow replenishment procedures.
* Safety and Compliance: Ensure activities comply with health and safety policies, manage work permits, support safety documentation, and report safety issues.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in a maintenance leadership role, ideally in manufacturing or production.
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Proficiency in using CMMS systems (experience with MaintX is a plus).
* Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
