Senior Fleet Category Manager
Up to £80,000 Basic salary
Flexible hybrid working (1–2 days per week in the office, location-based)
Chippenham or Northampton
Outsource UK is seeking an experienced Senior Category Manager (Fleet) to join a hybrid-based team in Chippenham/Northampton. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong procurement and category management expertise, particularly in fleet management, to take ownership of a commercial fleet portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage commercial fleets, hire cars, and company cars from a procurement perspective
2. Develop and execute category strategies for fleet procurement
3. Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and service levels
4. Lead, coach, and support a small team with autonomy
5. Understand technical specifications and apply this knowledge in procurement decisions
6. Build strong relationships internally and externally
Skills & Experience Required:
7. Extensive procurement experience, ideally within 3PL but not essential
8. Technical understanding of fleet vehicles (not engineering level, but able to grasp specifications and requirements)
9. Previous fleet portfolio management experience
10. Strong category management skills
11. Team leadership/line management experience
12. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
