Job Description:
Fidarsi is partnering with an established Wealth Manager's HR team to recruit a Training and Competency Manager.
This role involves supporting the HR team by managing the training and competency department.
Responsibilities include:
* Implementing and overseeing an effective Training & Competency Scheme
* Providing tools and support for employee compliance with role requirements
* Ensuring investment managers hold necessary qualifications for advising in specific asset classes
* Maintaining CPD records and SPS renewals, liaising with training bodies and managers
* Managing relationships with training providers for in-house and external training, exams, and courses
* Collaborating with HR, Compliance, and Suitability teams to maintain accurate training records
* Delivering annual competency assessments for investment managers
* Handling regulatory referencing, onboarding, and rescreening checks
* Supporting annual employee appraisals and new starter inductions
* Managing online training programs, including delivery and tracking
* Providing T&C Management Information for committees
* Training team members for holiday and absence cover
* Participating in ad hoc projects as required
* Managing appraisals with the SMCR panel and SMFs
* Administering annual FIT processes
* Tracking compliance with mandatory training and certifications
* Recruiting and interviewing for open positions
* Fostering a coaching culture and designing blended learning solutions
* Developing technical, behavioral, and leadership training programs
* Implementing talent management and workforce gap analysis
* Staying updated on regulatory changes
* Maintaining accurate HRIS data
* Organizing FCA training requirements and face-to-face sessions
Qualifications and skills required:
* Ability to manage inter-departmental relationships and influence positive change
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Proactive work ethic with the ability to meet tight deadlines
* Knowledge of FCA regulations such as TC, SYSC, COBs, APER, and FIT
* Experience in a similar training or HR function
