Overview
As an Employment Associate, you will handle a diverse caseload focusing exclusively on employment law. You will work closely with senior associates and partners, assisting them with complex cases while also managing your own matters under supervision. Your responsibilities will include both contentious and non-contentious employment work, providing you with the opportunity to engage directly with a variety of clients. The role is designed to evolve alongside your skills and preferences, ensuring that you can develop in line with client needs and your own career aspirations. You will be part of a well-respected team that values collaboration, integrity, and excellence.
Responsibilities
* Handle a diverse caseload focusing on employment law, including both contentious and non-contentious matters.
* Assist senior associates and partners with complex cases while managing your own matters under supervision.
* Engage directly with a variety of clients and contribute to delivering high-quality service.
Candidate Profile
* Between 2-4 years of PQE with training in a reputable employment team.
* Comprehensive knowledge of employment law.
* Strong analytical skills and a clear written and verbal communication style.
* A commercial mindset with a focus on client service.
* Enthusiasm for business development and a collaborative spirit.
IT Skills
* Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
* Familiarity with DocsCorp PDF Docs, Word Compare, Document Management Systems (Netdocs), and time recording software (Intapp TIME).
Training and Development
Full in-house training will be provided. Our client offers a robust training programme that includes seminars and workshops led by external experts and internal professionals. Associates have access to dedicated practise Development Lawyers who maintain know-how and precedents across the team. The Lewis Silkin Business School provides Associates with essential tools and skills for career growth.
