With a heritage that spans over 170 years and a portfolio of over 500 global brands, we are now entering into an exciting new future for our brand as Frasers and are looking for a dynamic Assistant Store Manager to join our team at our Peterborough store. Whether it’s leading floor walks across our Sports and Frasers floors with some of the UK’s biggest luxury and performance brands, working closely with our head office teams to manage your store’s stock package, or delivering training sessions to boost your team’s product knowledge, at Frasers Group no two days are ever the same. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will oversee a team of Retail Supervisors and Sales Advisors across both the Sports and Frasers floors, driving commercial success and contributing to the company’s growth.
COMMERCIAL EXPERTISE
* Take full accountability for the commercial performance and overall success of the store.
* Drive sales and operational performance through effective commercial decision-making.
* Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve departmental goals and business objectives.
* Analyse sales data and key performance indicators to identify opportunities and improve KPIs.
TEAM LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT
* Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of Retail Supervisors through clear direction, coaching, and mentorship.
* Partner closely with the Store Manager, acting on feedback and delivering against agreed targets and deadlines.
* Identify high-potential talent within the team and support structured development and progression plans.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCIES
* Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and full compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Utilise business communication tools to manage task completion and ensure teams fully understand key responsibilities.
* Maintain effective wage control on a weekly basis, addressing and resolving issues promptly.
* Manage stock movement, conduct accurate store audits, and uphold visual merchandising standards in line with company guidelines.

THE REQUIREMENTS
* Proven experience in driving sales growth, improving profitability, and effectively managing costs and stock loss.
* A strong track record of internal progression and team development.
* Extensive knowledge of, and passion for, luxury retail, with a focus on building long‑term customer relationships.
* A minimum of two years’ leadership experience within a luxury or premium retail environment.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels of the business.
* Highly organised with excellent time management skills, able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
CONTRACT DETAILS
This is a full‑time, permanent position working 45 hours per week across five days out of seven. The role requires full flexibility, including evenings and weekends.
