POSITION SCOPE
To safely operate, maintain and improve a packing line to meet the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) plan cost effectively and to agreed customer requirements.
SHIFT: Mon-Friday
1. Week 1 - 3 dayshifts (We,Th,Fr)
2. Week 2 - 3 nightshifts (Mo,Tu,We)
3. Week 3 - 2 dayshifts (Mo,Tu) & 2 nightshifts (Th,Fr)
4. Revert to Week 1 etc.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
5. Operate packing line(s) and other offline equipment to safety, environmental, quality, hygiene and output standards
6. Complete required quality checks, compare results against specified parameters and follow Company Quality procedures for action where required
7. Adjust plant when appropriate to ensure agreed specifications are maintained
8. Use FLT’s to supply lines with packaging equipment
9. Use knowledge and experience to anticipate problems where possible and to solve problems when they do occur using relevant CI tools
10. Record quality and performance data, and monitor line performance trends and material usage taking corrective action where appropriate
11. Clearly communicate handover information and issues within packing team of Operators and Maintenance Technicians
12. Involvement in continuous improvement projects where appropriate
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
13. Keyboard skills and IT aptitude to input and access data
14. Verbal & written communication skills to accurately describe problems, causes and solutions
15. Planning skills to ensure routine activities can be completed
16. Experience using production machinery
17. Strong problem-solving skills
18. Positive and proactive contributor in a team environment
