To oversee the efficient and effective operations of a Supply Chain, Logistics & Transport service to NHS Customers in Wales, and manage the Organisations Supply Chain and Health Courier Service functions. To contribute to the overall strategic direction of the organisation whilst adhering to the organisations ISO/Quality framework.
To support the Deputy Head of Supply Chain, Logistics and Transport with overseeing the operations of the Regional Warehouse and Receipt & Distribution function.
This post is secondment for months to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
As a senior member of the Supply Chain, Logistics and Transport Team, the post holder will play a key role in supporting the Deputy Head of Supply Chain, Logistics and Transport in overseeing the Warehousing and Receipt & Distribution (R&D) functions within their region.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys a varied role encompassing both strategic planning and operational management.
As the regional manager, the post holder will ensure the efficient and effective use of resources by leading and coordinating activities across the Supply Chain, Logistics and Transport functions. They will ensure that each service area operates cohesively, supporting integrated working and maximising opportunities for improvement wherever possible.
The post holder will also be responsible for managing project timelines and deliverables that contribute to the department’s business plan, ensuring all targets are achieved. In addition, they will support the Deputy Head of Supply Chain, Logistics and Transport in aligning local and regional business plans with the organisation’s annual delivery plan and Integrated Medium-Term Plan (IMTP).
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply
