Overview
This is an opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic radiographer to join a large nuclear medicine multidisciplinary team on a fixed term basis to cover a maternity leave.
The department has 3 gamma cameras, PET/CT and BMD and a wide ranging therapeutic service. Successful applicants will have an opportunity to experience all aspects of our service.
Responsibilities
* Provide a high standard of service to patients and their referrers as a member of the Nuclear Medicine Team.
* Assist in the running and organisation of the Nuclear Medicine workload.
* Carry out Nuclear Medicine procedures to the highest standard, adhering to departmental protocols with careful attention to patient identification.
* Perform clinical duties in Imaging, Bone density, Administration of therapeutic isotopes, In-vitro and quantitative studies as delegated by the Superintendent Radiographer, Deputy Superintendent or clinical coordinator.
* Be proficient in the use of departmental equipment and ensure quality control protocols are observed; report equipment malfunctions or damage promptly.
* Contribute to continuous service improvements and respond to new developments within the specialty of Nuclear Medicine.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience and expertise in Nuclear Medicine Techniques.
* Ability to provide a professional standard of communication to all medical, nursing, technical, clerical and ancillary staff.
