Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen. The children bring in their own food which needs to be organised and some reheated. There is also basic tea preparation which is simple small meal.
Responsibilities
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
* Handle food safely and adhere to food safety guidelines at all times
* Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality service
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen is preferred
* Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 per week
