We are seeking an
Audio Engineer
to join our global well-trust client who has a cutting-edge research team working on the future of
augmented and virtual reality
.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in one of the world's most advanced acoustic laboratories, featuring anechoic chambers, configurable audio rooms, and state-of-the-art facilities.
As an Audio Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in capturing, processing, and managing high-quality multimedia data that underpins next-generation smart glasses and immersive audio applications.
What You'll Do
* Collect and manage high-quality audio and video data in bespoke acoustic labs.
* Set up, calibrate, and optimise recording equipment (DAWs, interfaces, speakers, microphones).
* Process data using scripts, multimedia tools, and command line environments.
* Work closely with internal teams and external volunteers during data collection.
* Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency of all recordings and datasets.
What Our Client is Looking For
* Solid understanding of
multimedia equipment setup and recording
.
* Experience in
sound engineering, AV technician, or music production
.
* Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Demonstrated passion for
sound and audio
(e.g., playing an instrument, producing audio, or recording).
Must-Have Experience
* 2–4 years
of professional experience in
audio engineering, sound engineering, or AV technician roles
.
* Hands-on experience with
DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Ableton)
,
audio interfaces
,
microphones
,
speakers
, and other
recording equipment
.
* Solid track record of
multimedia equipment setup and recording
(not just hobbyist, but professional/structured environments).
* Demonstrated
attention to detail
, strong
organisation skills
, and
communication skills
.
Nice to Have
* Experience with large spreadsheets/databases (Excel, MySQL).
* Programming/scripting (e.g., Python).
* Familiarity with Linux/command line tools.
* Knowledge of motion capture or visual positioning systems.
