About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Legal Secretary to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and an interest in supporting a busy legal practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations, providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support to fee earners.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing secretarial and administrative support to solicitors and legal executives.
* Preparing, typing, and formatting legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
* Managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and organising travel where necessary.
* Handling incoming calls, emails, and post, ensuring matters are dealt with promptly and professionally.
* Maintaining accurate client records and case files, both electronically and in paper format.
* Liaising with clients and external contacts, providing excellent customer service at all times.
* Assisting with file opening, compliance, and billing procedures.
* General office duties such as photocopying, scanning, and filing.
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary (preferred, though strong administrators from professional services may also be considered).
* Fast and accurate audio/copy typing skills.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Confident with Microsoft Office and case management systems.
* Professional, discreet, and client-focused.
