Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively and follow care plans will be crucial in delivering high-quality care tailored to each individual's needs.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support individuals in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Follow care plans meticulously to meet the specific needs of each resident.
* Document daily activities and any changes in residents' conditions accurately. .
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Utilise IT systems for record keeping and reporting as needed.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with residents and team members.
* A willingness to learn and adapt to the specific needs of the individuals you will be caring for is essential.
* Experience in following care plans and understanding the importance of personalised care is advantageous.
* Must have a minimum of Level 2 Health and Social care QCF/NVQ qualification and be prepared to register with Social Care Wales.
