Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
Are you seeking a rewarding career that offers variety and allows you to make an impact on the lives of vulnerable adults? Are you a positive and motivated person who loves going the extra mile? If so, we would love to hear from you! We are currently expanding our team in Peterhead and are recruiting for a 30-hour Support Worker role. In this service, we support a group of adults to live independently in their own homes around Peterhead Town Centre. The individuals we support have a learning disabilities, autism and Downs Syndrome, so require some support to live their everyday lives. The people we support love group events so our team support them to organise and host these events. They enjoy a wide variety of activities, including going to the cinema, getting their nails done, watching football, going to car shows, arts and crafts, watching Disney movies and going to concerts. In addition to supporting with the activities they enjoy, our staff team provide support with daily tasks such as: Medication administration, Cooking and cleaning. Helping the people we support achieve their goals. Assisting the people we support to manage their finances. If you have a UK driving license, that would be beneficial but is not essential. In this service, we provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so this role will include some weekend and overnight work (sleepovers). Our day shifts run between 7am - 10pm. We are looking for a Fixed Term role for Full Time for 1 year with the possibility of this extending and also a Full Time contract role.
