Salary: £43,800 - £58,500
Location: Cambridge, Coventry, or Gateshead – Hybrid
Contract: Permanent, full time, 35 hours per week – flexible arrangements available.
Using your expert blend of programme, project and change management, business analysis and improvement skills, this is the opportunity to be right in the centre of change in Education.
We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.
About The Role
Working across the breadth of UK Education business functions, and alongside partners in wider Cambridge University Press & Assessment, you will be responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of large-scale, integrated, and complex change initiatives. Your portfolio will adapt throughout the year as priorities evolve, which could include leading critical business change initiatives to support exams delivery or organisational change.
This is an opportunity to use your passion for change to make a significant contribution to the future success of UK Education. In return, you will be part of a strong, supportive team at the heart of transformation that will support your personal development as a leader of change.
About You
Vision: We put our teachers and learners at the heart of everything we do. You'll think creatively to find better ways of doing things, identifying and driving opportunities for improvement based on evidence from our teams.
Leadership: You will lead empowered, cross-functional teams, creating an environment that fosters innovation, encourages learning, and questions assumptions. You'll be comfortable working with ambiguity, able to challenge constructively, and establish a credible and trusted presence.
Collaboration: As a change practitioner with outstanding communication skills, you will partner with stakeholders at all levels to understand their needs, solve problems, and build connections. You'll help build commitment, unblock challenges, and ensure successful outcomes. You will identify change impacts accurately and employ strategies to ensure that change is sustained and embedded.
Organisation: As a highly organised programme and project manager, you will effectively monitor progress against plans, track benefits, and manage risks and issues. You'll establish strong governance around your portfolio and engage effectively with existing governance structures in UK Education and the wider organisation to champion your projects.
