Job Overview
Our client is a leading supplier and distributor of chemicals with a turnover of over £100m. They are seeking a Sales Manager or Business Manager - Bulk Chemical Distribution. The role involves regular contact and visits to customers across the UK. It is a full-time, permanent, field/home-based position, with flexible location within the UK. The role reports to the Sales Directors and CEO.
Key Responsibilities
1. Promoting a range of chemicals to new and existing accounts across the UK, mainly in inorganics and minerals.
2. Liaising with clients' technical and commercial departments.
3. Sample and trial approvals.
4. Formulating commercial contracts with supply chain considerations.
5. Assisting with exhibitions.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Educated to BSc level (or equivalent).
2. Proven sales track record and experience in the chemical distribution industry, including sales and negotiation skills for bulk chemicals.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Ability to use initiative and work independently.
5. Proactive, energetic, and results-driven.
6. Computer literate.
7. Full driving license.
Compensation
Offering a competitive package, including a basic salary of approximately £65,000 per annum, car allowance, generous bonus/commission, and benefits.
