Job Overview:
Our client based in Atherstone is seeking an experienced Heidenhain CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join their late shift milling team. You will be setting, operating, and programming universal bed-type milling machines using Heidenhain controls, working with a variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel, and cast iron. This is a long-term opportunity within a well-established engineering business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting, operating, and programming CNC milling machines (Heidenhain)
* Online programming using Heidenhain controls
* Working with universal milling heads
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Machining components to tight tolerances
* Completing your own quality inspections
* Safe use of overhead cranes
Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven experience programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines
* Experience with Heidenhain control systems
* Background machining medium to large fabrications and castings
* Strong attention to detail and quality standards
