About the Role
I am working with a college in Carlisle to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Uniformed Protective ServicesLecturer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with industry experience and a passion for education to join a vibrant team and help shape the futures of students aspiring to careers in the police, fire, armed forces, and other uniformed services.
As a Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across a range of levels, contribute to curriculum development, and provide pastoral and academic support as a course or group tutor.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess teaching and learning on a variety of Uniformed Protective Services programmes
* Monitor and support the academic progress and welfare of students
* Undertake administrative duties related to teaching responsibilities
* Support student recruitment, enrolment, and induction
* Contribute to the development of new curriculum content and course structures
* Maintain accurate student records and contribute to internal and external quality assurance processes
* Liaise with external partners and employers to enhance the student learning experience
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults
* Participate in ongoing professional development (minimum 30 hours per year)
