We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
* Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen
* Coordinate food production to ensure timely delivery of dishes during service periods
* Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
* Support the development of new menu items and contribute creative ideas to enhance offerings
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
* Serve as a role model for team members by demonstrating professionalism and culinary excellence
Experience
* Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
* Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation
* Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
* Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
* Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential
* Experience in culinary arts or hospitality training programmes is advantageous
* Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service principles is beneficial
