An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Associate Psychologist to join our Primary & Community Mental Health Team (PCMH). The person should be willing to engage with both health and community settings to support existing structures of clinical care in conjunction with our social prescribing and self‑management offer. You will be joining a vibrant and supportive team of well‑established Clinical Psychologists, Psychotherapists and Clinical Associate Psychologists who provide supervision, support and professional development. Comfortable with one‑to‑one and group work, the successful candidate will be passionate about building the skills of clinical and non‑clinical colleagues to support patients with long‑term mental health conditions.

Responsibilities
* Develop close links with GP practices, VCSE organisations, secondary care services and families/carers to ensure patients with serious mental illness can quickly access the care, support and treatment they need in their local community.
* Lead psychological interventions to adults with complex mental health problems, focusing on strengths and assets to help people with what matters most to them.
* Work within a multidisciplinary team involving mental health practitioners, clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, social prescribers, peer support workers, occupational therapists and pharmacy staff.
* Deliver assessment, formulation and interventions at individual, group, couple and family levels across community settings, VCSE agencies, clinics, and via telephone or digital platforms.
* Collaboratively produce and co‑develop services with experts‑by‑experience, local communities and voluntary and social enterprises, ensuring services meet the complex needs of patients.
* Make contributions to partnership working and liaise with stakeholders including GPs, primary and secondary care mental health services, colleges, universities and the third sector.
* Raise awareness of the complexity of health and social challenges many people face and support service users in building resilience, community connectedness and belonging.
* Work under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist who retains clinical responsibility for work carried out within the care plan.
Qualifications
* Completed the British Psychological Society accredited CAP apprenticeship training programme, including EPA to IFA standards.
* Experience working in primary and community mental health settings, delivering psychological interventions.
* Strong ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including GPs, local services and care partners.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development, supervision and evidence‑based practice.
