Position Overview
We are looking to recruit a driven, ambitious individual to join our Ford team in Bradford as General Sales Manager.
Competitive basic salary of £40,000 with an achievable OTE of £65,000.
Note: all applications submitted from 23rd December 2025 onwards will be reviewed upon the recruitment team’s return on 5th January 2026.

Key Objectives within the role
* Achieve and exceed all targets and sales objectives through a well‑developed and motivated sales team.
* Ensure the sales team has full knowledge and understanding of product, promotional and marketing activities, communicating vision and goals by planning and preparing thoroughly for daily sales meetings.
* Ensure that the department is adequately staffed to achieve departmental objectives.
* Conduct detailed induction for all new sales personnel and continue to monitor achievements, reviewing individual performance through the company development review process.
* Manage the training and development of sales executives, developing skills to support performance improvement and career advancement.
* Delegate responsibilities to appropriate personnel and monitor progress to ensure tasks are completed as directed.
* Work with the Head of Sales to formulate policies and procedures to achieve maximum profitability.
* Develop strategies, objectives and action plans to increase business and ensure maximum profitability and volume sales targets are achieved and exceeded.
* Plan, oversee and monitor the completion and success of sales campaigns, advertising and promotional activities to maximise car and extras sales while maintaining a positive and professional image of the retailer.
* Analyse current procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Build a strong rapport with financial institutions and other relevant businesses.
* Maximise sales and profitability through customer satisfaction and retention. Establish long‑term marketing objectives by communicating effectively with customers, understanding their needs, meeting and exceeding expectations, and handling dissatisfied customers calmly and efficiently.

Hours
Normal working hours: Mon‑Fri 8.30am to 6.30pm.
Saturday: 8:30am‑5:30pm.
Sunday: 10:30am‑4:00pm.
5 days a week to meet business needs.
