Contract: Fixed term until 22.07.2026
Working Pattern: Term time only (38 weeks)
Hours: 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am-2:45pm
Actual Starting Salary (calculated pro rata): £15,283 per annum
Salaries are paid in 12 equal monthly instalments
Role
Teaching Assistants play a crucial role in the classroom. We are seeking an individual who can support our teachers and motivate and encourage our pupils. The role of a Teaching Assistant is crucial in promoting the learning and personal development of all pupils; including but not exclusively, those with special education needs. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is calm, confident and has the skills to be able to support classroom activities safely and can create a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide support to the Teacher in the planning and evaluation of learning activities and support the delivery of these activities
* Motivate and encourage students by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks
* Consistently and effectively implement agreed behaviour management strategies
Qualifications
* Maths and English GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent
* Knowledge of SEN
* Experience of establishing positive relationships with students and the ability to empathise with their needs

Holmbush Primary Academy serves over 205 pupils aged 4 to 11. Our environment is safe, stimulating and well-resourced with spacious classrooms and natural light.
