Field Service Engineer – Forklift Truck Maintenance and Repair
Our client is the authorised Cesab dealer for Leicestershire, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced field service engineer to join their forward‑thinking team and help their business achieve ambitious growth plans.
Duties
* Servicing, preventative maintenance and repair of both company‑owned and customer forklift trucks ensuring unscheduled repairs are minimised.
* Provide clear information regarding equipment, service, repair or inspection status and advise actions that may be required.
* Liaison with the parts department to ensure repairs are carried out within required time frames.
* Complete documentation to company standards.
* Work within Health & Safety requirements at all times.
* Computer literate.
Qualifications & Skills
As an experienced forklift truck service engineer you will have gained experience from a similar role and have knowledge of forklift trucks.
* In‑depth mechanical and electrical experience including strong diagnosis and repair skills.
* Experience in manual handling, agricultural, plant (JCBs, etc.) or powered access equipment, hydraulics and electrical equipment is an advantage; a mechanical background is essential.
* Strong communication skills – able to liaise clearly and concisely with all levels of customers.
* A flexible and helpful attitude to work.
* Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
* A full driving licence.
You will need to own your own tools for general service duties and repairs (sockets, spanners, screwdrivers, etc.); specific equipment tools will be provided by the client.
Coverage area includes the Midlands – Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincoln, Northampton and Birmingham. A company vehicle is provided for any work mileage.
Start times are 8 am if you are booked in/planned for work at the depot or onsite. Travel times vary based on the customer location.

£38k to £42k per year with a yearly bonus up to £1k.
