This is an exciting 12-month Children’s Service Manager position within the south Family Support and Safeguarding Team. The role may be extended beyond 12 months. Candidates must be registered with Social Work England.
The Family Support and Safeguarding Team comprises Team Managers, Social Workers, Early Help Case Managers, Family Support Workers, and administrative support. The team also receives support from Juno (domestic abuse services) and will soon have support from Change Grow Live (drug and alcohol addiction services).
The successful Children’s Service Manager will oversee the daily operations of the team, manage budget responsibilities, and supervise all Team Managers within this service. They will collaborate closely with other Family Support and Safeguarding Teams and report directly to the south Head of Service.
Applicants should demonstrate experience working in a strength-based approach, possess the determination and creativity to work effectively with team members to achieve change, and operate within the Families First Partnership Programme. A solid understanding of current legislation and proven leadership in providing timely support for families and working in partnership with others are essential.
