The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Claims Handler to join the Bristol office, supporting a portfolio of large SME and corporate clients. This role will involve managing a diverse claims book while working closely with Account Executives, insurers, and clients to ensure claims are handled efficiently and professionally.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality claims service and will occasionally travel to London to attend client meetings and presentations alongside the broking team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of commercial claims from first notification through to settlement
* Provide proactive claims support to large SME and corporate clients
* Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, and other stakeholders to progress claims efficiently
* Advise clients on claims strategy and policy coverage
* Support Account Executives with claims reviews and client presentations
* Maintain accurate claims records and ensure compliance with internal procedures
* Identify opportunities to improve claims outcomes and client experience
About You
* Previous experience in a commercial insurance claims handling role
* Experience dealing with SME or corporate client claims preferred
* Strong understanding of the commercial insurance market and claims processes
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Ability to manage multiple claims and prioritise workload effectively
* Comfortable presenting claims updates in client meetings when required
* Willingness to travel occasionally to London for client engagements
