Overview
We are hiring a Pharmacy Technician for the Pharmacy team at HMP Fosse Way, a secure environment opened in May 2023 that offers a state‑of‑the‑art design to support inmates in developing skills for successful release.
Hours & Salary
Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week with a Monday–Sunday service. Shift pattern: 7 am–6 pm Monday–Friday, 7:30 pm–6:30 pm weekends, 1 weekend in 4, 4‑week rolling rota.
Salary: £34,428–£41,658 per annum, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
* Provide patient‑centred, high‑quality care, seeking and acting on patient feedback to personalise care.
* Manage medicines safely, maintain accurate patient records, and adhere to SOPs and policy.
* Administer medicines within the scope of professional standards and analyse cost‑effective prescribing in line with the Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Work collaboratively as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Qualifications & Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC or equivalent.
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Up‑to‑date CPD.
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures.
* Ideal: Experience in hospital, community or prison environment.
