Our growing care agency is seeking dedicated Agency Support Workers to join our team in Newport. Please note: Applicants must hold a valid Practical Manual Handling Certificate. Key Responsibilities Provide person-centred support with daily living tasks, including personal care and household responsibilities, ensuring individual needs are fully met. Offer companionship and emotional reassurance to help reduce loneliness and promote overall wellbeing. Encourage and support individuals to maintain independence by accessing community activities, social opportunities, and appointments. Safely assist with mobility and transfers using approved Moving and Handling techniques, prioritising dignity, safety, and comfort at all times. Support individuals who may present challenging behaviours with a calm, respectful, and professional approach, maintaining a safe environment. Motivate and empower clients to work towards their personal goals and aspirations, enhancing confidence, purpose, and quality of life. Required Skills & Experience Minimum 6 months UK-based experience as a support worker Practical Manual Handling Certificate.
