Job Title: Credit Controller
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Contract: Contract Position (6 Months), Immediate Start
Think Accountancy & Finance are currently looking for a diligent and motivated Credit Controller to join a well-established finance team. You will be responsible for managing your own ledger and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while adhering to company policies and departmental targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage your allocated ledger, maintaining regular contact with customers via telephone and email.
* Ensure aged debts are kept within target by following a structured credit control collection process.
* Escalate delinquent accounts to the appropriate lead as required.
* Liaise closely with internal teams to resolve queries and facilitate prompt payments.
* Perform credit checks on new and existing customers.
* Provide monthly reports on all overdue accounts.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the credit control function.
* Assist and collaborate with other team members as needed.
Candidate Profile:

* Strong attention to detail and excellent information analysis skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple queries effectively.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Previous experience in a similar credit control or accounts receivable role

* Internal teams across Finance, Sales, Auditing, and related departments.
* External contacts including customers, auditors, and credit referencing/insurance agencies.
