Smart Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils with complex needs and SEN within a specialist primary educational setting in the Tamworth area. The school provides specialist provision tailored to pupils with significant additional needs, including communication, sensory, learning and emotional requirements, emphasising independence, confidence and meaningful progress.
This role is ideal for Teaching Assistants with experience managing challenging behaviour and delivering structured, supportive learning and social experiences.

Job Requirements:
• Experience working with pupils with complex needs in a school setting
• Confident in supporting and managing challenging behaviour
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid passport
• Ability to provide 24 months of employer or academic references
Role Responsibilities:
• Provide in-class and targeted support to pupils with complex needs
• Support behaviour regulation, engagement and access to learning
• Assist with differentiated activities, routines and transitions
• Foster independence, confidence and social development
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
• Help maintain a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
