Overview

Recruitment Lead (Foundation CIPD) & Skincare Consultant role focused on securing and managing work placements for students, ensuring placement opportunities align with course requirements and industry needs.


Responsibilities

* Engage existing employers to maintain support and, where feasible, increase the number of students placed with each employer.
* Build links with new employers and match students to appropriate placements and roles; work with the directorate of Engineering, Motor Vehicle, Fabrication and Welding, and other college departments to generate and upscale placement opportunities to meet targets.
* Complete health and safety training and conduct risk assessments or ensure employers complete online forms to protect students from health and safety risks while developing strong employer relationships.
* Develop good relationships with curriculum staff to align curriculum planning with industry and placement provision; collaboratively match students to placements and upscale to industry placements.
* Contribute to students’ preparation for work placement by delivering projects and resources; monitor completion of meaningful work placement objectives and support student achievement.
* Utilise college systems, including the central work placement management system, to capture key employer and student engagement information.
* Be a self-starter with resilience, encouraging students to see the benefits of work placement and engaging employers to provide opportunities.
* Travel to conduct risk assessments and attend employer appointments, open evenings, networking events, and other college sites.

Qualifications / Requirements

* Entry-level role with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across college departments.
* Willingness to travel for risk assessments, employer meetings, and events.
* Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with curriculum staff and employers.
* Experience or interest in work placements, industry links, or related fields is advantageous.
