Recruitment Overview
We are recruiting a highly motivated Receptionist to join our dental team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust Dental Service. The role covers reception duties across Central and East Lancashire, including the Oak House Dental Centre and assistance to the Bacup PHCC.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the daily running of dental treatment services, including booking appointments, answering telephone and counter enquiries from the public, health care professionals and dentists.
* Carry out clerical duties to support clinicians and senior staff.
* Work flexibly over a 7‑day rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays to provide urgent care treatment.
* Collaborate with the team to deliver high quality dental care across multiple sites.
Qualifications & Skills
* Excellent communication skills and initiative, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Effective interpersonal skills to communicate with people at all levels, face‑to‑face and over the telephone.
* Enforced enhanced criminal records check will be required.
* Relevant experience in a reception, administration or clerical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
