Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA)
Location: Mablethorpe
Salary: £89 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

A nurturing and inclusive school in Mablethorpe is seeking a committed and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA) to support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH and additional needs.
* Help manage behaviour using de-escalation strategies and positive reinforcement.
* Assist in delivering a tailored curriculum focused on emotional well-being and academic growth.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to implement support strategies.
* Foster a safe, trusting, and structured learning environment.
* Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour.
Requirements:
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or challenging behaviour.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
* Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils who may struggle to trust adults.
* Confidence in managing behaviour and supporting emotional regulation.
* Understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and inclusive practice.
* Experience in SEN, youth work, care, or behaviour support is highly desirable.
* An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
