Risk Management & Business Continuity Specialist
Location: Weybridge, UK
Sony Europe are on the hunt for a talented, driven, data-obsessed and laser-focused Risk Management & Business Continuity professional to join our team.
In this role, you’ll create a unified approach to managing risks, handling crises, and ensuring business continuity across all the countries we operate in. You’ll work with various different teams to make sure our plans are solid, our response processes are clear, and our employees feel secure, especially when they’re traveling.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
1. Developing a Pan-EU Risk Management Framework: Further develop, implement and maintain a consistent approach to risk management, crisis response, and business continuity across all the countries we operate in.
2. Managing Travel Risks: Identify and manage potential threats to our employees, especially when they’re traveling. You’ll oversee the approval process for business travel based on country risk levels and ensure that our team is safe during major incidents.
3. Crisis Management: Coordinate our 54 EU crisis response teams, keeping plans and contact details up to date. You’ll provide training and reminders on crisis roles and responsibilities, ensuring everyone knows what to do when it matters most.
4. Business Continuity Planning: Run our Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity (BC) program. You’ll work closely with business unit leaders to ensure that our BC plans are current and effective, and you’ll design and report on BC plan tests to keep our strategies sharp.
5. Third-Party Risk Assessment: Evaluate the business continuity plans of our critical suppliers to minimize risks and ensure they can recover quickly from disruptions.

What skills do you need to thrive?
Essential
6. Extensive experience in a risk & crisis management/business continuity position within a European organisation
7. Excellent Microsoft Excel ability
8. Planned & executed testing experience
9. A date-first mentality, with a passion for creating insight-based reporting dashboards
10. A resilient nature, with an ability to remain calm and composed when faced with pressure
Desirable
11. Travel risk exposure/experience (this is an ever-increasing element of the role)
12. Knowledge and/or experience of working with an Emergency Notification System (ENS)
