Location: This post is based at LinkLiving’s Kirkcaldy office, however the role involves travel to various localities within Fife
Hours of Work: 20 per week (Tuesday to Thursday)

LinkLiving is a Scottish health and wellbeing charity that supports people to manage or overcome the effects of negative life experiences (including trauma, mental health challenges, poverty and inequality) so that they can build on their strengths and aspirations in order to live their best possible lives. The Service
The service aims to support people facing mental health challenges to develop the skills and confidence to access online digital therapies, thereby increasing the scope of support available to them. The Digital Inclusion Coaches will support individuals to identify barriers, develop their digital skills and knowledge to access services, combat social isolation, and improve digital life skills.
The Job
Taking a trauma-informed approach, the post holder will offer empathy and understanding to others in the area of learning and utilising digital skills. In this role, the Digital Inclusion Coach will offer empathetic support alongside practical assistance in order to empower people to feel in control of their lives in relation to making informed choices around their use of digital tools. The Digital Inclusion Coach will act as a digital champion within the service and link with external agencies and partner organisations. They will also be supported to continue their own personal and professional development.
We would welcome applications from people with lived experience of using these therapies to support their own mental health journeys, although this is not essential for the role.
About You
You will be educated to a minimum of SCQF Level 7 (or equivalent), or have relevant experience that demonstrates your ability to work effectively in this role. You are confident using common digital tools such as tablets, laptops and smartphones to support your day-to-day work, including recording information accurately and maintaining clear records.
You have a working knowledge of mental health self-help resources and are committed to promoting and using these in a person-centred way. Building equal, positive and trusting relationships comes naturally to you, and you can clearly demonstrate experience of supporting people using a person-centred approach that respects individual needs, choices and circumstances.
You bring a calm, empathetic and compassionate approach, with strong communication and active listening skills that enable you to respond sensitively to people’s emotional and social wellbeing. You are able to manage ongoing risk, problem-solve effectively and remain calm and focused in challenging or crisis situations.
You take a proactive approach to managing your own wellbeing in the role and work in a flexible, practical and reliable way. You will also be a car driver with access to your own vehicle, enabling you to meet the demands of the post.
