Responsibilities
* Elicit and document business and technical requirements for DNS services (internal & external).
* Analyse DNS architecture, domains, zones, records, and resolution flows.
* Translate business needs into functional and non-functional DNS requirements.
* Support DNS migrations, consolidations, and cloud/hybrid DNS initiatives.
* Assess risks related to DNS availability, security, and performance.
* Work with Network Engineers on DNS changes, upgrades, and tooling.
* Define success metrics, SLAs, and operational reporting for DNS services.
* Support incident/problem analysis related to DNS failures.
* Produce clear documentation: HLDs, LLDs, process flows, and service models.
* Ensure DNS solutions align with security, compliance, and enterprise standards.
Qualifications
* Experience with enterprise DNS platforms (Infoblox, BlueCat, Microsoft DNS).
* Knowledge of DNS security (DNSSEC, DDoS protection).
* Exposure to cloud DNS (Azure, AWS, GCP).
