First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Risk Management Specialist to join the Credit Analytics and Reporting Department. In this role, under the guidance of the Credit Analytics and Reporting Department Manager, this position is responsible for supporting the end-to-end execution of the Bank’s quarterly allowance for credit loss (ACL) estimate. The position is also responsible for generating credit risk reports for Management and other stakeholders, as needed.
The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM (hours may vary)
Pay Range:
The annual salary range for this role is $55,000 – $80,000 / per year; commensurate with experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, accounting or other related discipline; or equivalent work experience required
1 year of experience in Data Management, Risk Management or related field required
Basic knowledge of SQL or other programming language required
1-2 years of experience working in the banking industry is highly desirable
1-2 years of experience working in credit risk management, credit analytics, or with the allowance for credit losses is preferred
Knowledge of the new FASB Accounting Standard on Credit Loss Measurement (CECL) would be ideal
Must be detailed with the ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills
Must have the ability to reduce data into meaningful information
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must work and communicate effectively with all levels of bank management, including Senior Management, branches, administrative departments, vendors, auditors, consultants and regulatory agencies
Ability to understand user requirements and convert them into quality deliverables
Knowledge of databases and coding languages (SQL, Python)
Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Business Objects)
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, Powerpoint)
