Overview
We are recruiting for a Planner to join the team at an established regional business near Southampton to manage schemes up to GBP20 million. The contractor operates across Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex on negotiated and single stage bids up to GBP30 million with a sweetspot of GBP8 to GBP20 million, across education, care, student, leisure and retail as well as industrial schemes. Turnover is secured through to 2029 with other opportunities in the pipeline and two new schemes awarded to start in July this year.
Responsibilities
* Work primarily with the bid and estimating teams to help establish best practice and accurate forecasting at tender stages.
* Initially help produce scope of works and bills of quantities, then assess and manage subcontractor responses and proposals.
* Take a detailed dive into subcontractors’ programmes and critical path and produce a master programme for each scheme.
* Assist with client meetings and dealings with external professional bodies.
* Once the project has been bid and won, sense check the Project and Contract Managers’ look-ahead programmes and ensure subcontractors and the site team are on target.
* Work with head office systems and closely with the PM and delivery team to achieve the best results for the company.

* Role would suit an experienced Planner looking to work for a regional business on a wide variety and number of schemes.
* Opportunity to consider candidates who may be looking to move from Project or Contracts Management into a full-time planning role.
