The Shift Manager will be responsible for managing all security personnel and the day-to-day operational issues impacting on the contract throughout their shift, providing a central point of contact for service delivery development, performance, measurement and centralised reporting. This position is key to the operational success of the Team and is required to strengthen the relationship between the client and First Response Group by offering one point of operational Supervision on a 24/7 basis.
Job Opportunity
* Ensure all incidents are reported in compliance with customer and company policy
* Support the Security Management Team in developing and sharing best practice to improve service effectiveness
* Plan, develop, and deliver staff training covering routine duties and emergency procedures
* Monitor and report faults with security-related equipment promptly and correctly
* Maintain full operational knowledge of Access Control, CCTV, Detection, and Alarm Systems to ensure effective monitoring and reporting
* Act as first point of contact on shift for security queries, escalating complaints to the Security Management Team as appropriate
* Maintain full working knowledge of all client fire, emergency, and evacuation procedures
* Supervise and instruct on all client security technologies including fire alarms, CCTV, perimeter alarms, and access and egress systems
* Brief and debrief officers to ensure awareness of current issues, roles, and SOPs, maintaining good order and discipline throughout
* Investigate all reported incidents and accidents, ensuring they are correctly recorded and resolved
* Support the Operations team with reasonable and practical requests as required
Essential Skills
* Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence required
* Valid CCTV Operators Licence required
* Right to work in the UK
* Aged 18 or over
* Five-year checkable employment history, or supporting documentation for any gaps including unemployment, self-employment, or education
* Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a high-profile or high-footfall environment
* Well-presented with pride in personal appearance
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team
* Punctual and reliable
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Adaptable and responsive
