As the Regional Loss Prevention Manager across EMEA at Sherwin-Williams you will be responsible for assisting to reduce all Loss Prevention threats to the Company.
in this you will effectively manage all identified Risks through the development, implementation & maintenance of proactive Loss Prevention, projects, policies, procedures & programs designed to protect the Company’s human; technological; financial and information assets, as well as its brands and reputation.
You will also work in partnership to support the internal controls and anti-bribery compliance program at multiple locations, utilizing both internal and external resources in support of the company’s planned initiatives.
This position can be based anywhere within EMEAI across our sites and working from home with significant travel.
1. Responsibility to assist in the proactive & cost-effective protection of Sherwin-Williams EMEAI assets.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of effective Loss Prevention policies, procedures and administrative controls, utilizing recognised Risk analysis methodologies that are focused on the reduction or elimination of incidents/events that contribute to or cause losses of corporate assets.
3. Work closely with Corporate Internal Audit and Group Security to measure the effectiveness of site Security, and internal control issues; identify and recommend cost effective/efficient solutions to correct weakness; and assist and consult in the implementation of the recommendations since damage, disruption or loss would have a serious or long-term financial and operational impact on the Corporation.
4. Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive Loss Prevention survey/audit programs that are designed to consistently monitor, regulate and report on the Company’s Loss Prevention strengths, weaknesses & continuous improvement opportunities within EMEAI.
5. As directed implement appropriate Loss Prevention plans and control techniques necessary to protect against fraudulent access, disclosure or theft of proprietary information sabotage, and property damage to critical records, functions or assets of the Corporation.
6. Investigate in an appropriate manner all internal/external incidents of dishonesty or irregularities that impact on the profitability of the Corporation; or where there exists the possibility that a criminal act has been committed on Corporate property, or against the Corporate interests, to determine cause, extent of loss, and provide appropriate controls to prevent future occurrences. This will entail direct involvement in the criminal justice system, including presentation of evidence and testimony in accordance with legal procedure.
MAJOR TASKS PERFORMED BY THIS POSITION
7. Collects, analyses and identifies Causes and Trends of security and operational control weaknesses, losses and circumstances, and provides direct support and consultation to address the vulnerabilities contributing to these losses.
8. Assists in the development of training programs to promote Loss Prevention topics which include; anti-bribery laws, staff safety, asset protection and whistleblowing, etc. Ensuring the clear delivery of consistent Loss Prevention messages highlighting the Risks, Impacts and potential Consequences to the Company as a result of negligence, non-compliance or malpractice.
9. Assists in the development and implementation of on-site facility evaluations and reviews to reduce security-related vulnerabilities in all aspects of operations; ensuring compliance with internal controls and; reporting on findings and makes cost-effective recommendations to improve overall procedures.
10. Complete investigations into actual or alleged losses of assets or resources; circumstances of actual or alleged employee misconduct; and incidents of actual criminal activity occurring in business operations.
11. Bachelor’s degree in related field
12. 7 years mid to senior level Loss Prevention experience
13. 5 years multi-site experience
14. 3 years International working experience
