We are a nationwide charity providing support and care to older people in various London Boroughs including Harrow, Brent, Tower Hamlets, Bromley and Wandsworth. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to oversee the Activities Team which delivers a stimulating and relevant range of activities and events for our clients. You will be developing activities in a collaborative manner ensuring that they meet clients' goals, improve their wellbeing and enhance social inclusion.
You must be a proactive and creative person with the ability to build links with the local community and access resources and new opportunities. A genuine interest in working with older adults at risk is essential as is having a commitment to diversity in all its facets.
You will be well organised and efficient with excellent communication and IT skills (especially Word/Excel/Publisher). You will be approachable with a warm and effervescent manner. You must enjoy working in a team environment as well as able to work alone using your own initiative. A core part of your role will be overseeing activity support workers and sessional workers, so having the skillset and confidence in supporting, managing and leading a staff team is essential.
