Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated chef to join our team making pies, scotch eggs, sausage rolls, pasties etc. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial kitchen and making high-quality pies and associated products for our customers. Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking
- Follow recipes and instructions to prepare food items accurately and efficiently
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers
- Monitor food temperatures during cooking and ensure proper food safety practices are followed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing and sanitizing utensils
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth running of the Pie Room
- Assist in receiving and storing food supplies as needed
Experience:
- Must have experience as a chef in a busy kitchen
- Must have a demonstrable knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
- Must be familiar with industrial kitchen equipment and utensils
- Must have an understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately

* Food Hygiene Level 2 is desirable, but training can be offered
Work is 5am - 2pm every day, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime and/or weekend work available during busy periods. We offer competitive pay rates and a friendly and supportive working environment.
