Pharmacy Technicians, are you ready for a change or to try something new? The Pharmacy Team has a fixed term opportunity within the Annandale and Eskdale Cluster. We are looking for a motivated, proactive and enthusiastic registered pharmacy technician to work within our Pharmacy Hubs and GP practices. Our team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support workers support the GP practice clinical pharmacy service, taking a leading role in medicines management and medication review as part of the primary care multidisciplinary team.
It is a rewarding role helping patients in Dumfries and Galloway to safely manage their medicines.
Responsibilities
* Provide a clinical pharmacy service directly to patients
* Medicine reconciliation
* Medication reviews with patients
* Deal with medicines-related queries
* Assess patients’ ability to manage their medicines (including in the patient’s home)
* Joint working with GP practice staff and multidisciplinary teams within local hospitals, community pharmacies and Home Teams
