Our client, based in the East of England are looking to appoint Senior Environmental Protection Officer to deliver the full range of statutory
services for which the Council is responsible in relation to environmental
protection and pollution.
You will be asked to respond to, investigate and resolve, within published service standards, wherever possible, complaints relating primarily to noise and nuisance. With minimal supervision, you will need to carry out routine inspections and investigations across a broad spectrum of service areas, and prepare formal reports, licenses, investigations, prosecution files. At this level the postholder will have a comprehensive understanding of the principles of Environmental Protection and Regulation in one or more specialist areas.
Our client has a degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in Environmental Health or an Environmental Protection related subject you will need at least 5 years’ experience of working within this field, within a local authority setting.
Rates for this role will be atv. Working Pattern - Hybrid (Depending on what work is required), 1+ weekly site visits. Must be mobile / have access to a car to attend business meetings at other sites / locations within the district on a regular basis.
