An opportunity has arisen for a permanent full-time OSG vacancy within the Security Department covering LSU and MSU.
The purpose of the role is to undertake a range of duties in support of the security requirements of the Hospital.
You will be based at Rowan View MSU Hospital; however, you may also cover Aspen Wood LSU as staffing demands require.
Main duties of the job
The Security Department provides a hospital-wide service, ensuring all aspects of Procedural, Dynamic, and Passive security systems are in place, operational, maintained, and regularly updated. This ensures effective patient care while maintaining a safe environment for staff, patients, and the public.
The hospital's passive security systems are divided into functional areas covering staff main entrance reception, visitor processing, security maintenance, and control room operations.
The department operates a flexible rostering system covering 24 hours, including day and night shifts and weekends.

Job responsibilities
Staff Main Entrance: Responsible for secure processing of staff entry, security monitoring, alarm responses, and vehicle processing, including CCTV monitoring and pedestrian control.
Visitor Processing: Handling visitor verification, pre-booking, goods/items processing, escort management, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
Security Maintenance: Conducting perimeter patrols, responding to alarms, assisting with security standards, and participating in searches.
Reception Operations: Coordinating emergency responses, monitoring CCTV, and managing alarm responses across the hospital.

* Good command of English, both written and verbal.

This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975.
Salary: £24,625 to £25,674 per annum, pro-rata.
