A secondary school in Slough is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join its team on a full-time basis from September. The successful candidate will support the English Department, helping to raise attainment and provide targeted academic and pastoral support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Job Description for Teaching Assistant:
* Assist teachers in delivering high-quality English lessons, both in and out of the classroom
* Work with individual students and small groups to provide tailored support
* Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning materials
* Support students with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum
* Promote positive behaviour and help to maintain a focused learning environment
* Provide regular feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and engagement
* Supervise students during non-teaching times, such as break or lunchtime, as required
To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a degree in English or an equivalent subject. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to support young people in their learning. This position is ideal for a recent graduate considering a career in teaching or for someone with relevant educational experience.
