Located in the centre of Brighton (free parking onsite), within walking distance of the town centre and the beach. The Pavilion Surgery has a team of 30 including 9 GPs, providing full medical services to approximately 10,200 patients. * GPs: 6 GP partners and two salaried GPs (soon to be 8 Partners)
* Nurses: three practice nurses and two phlebotomists

Induction Training
On arrival at the practice all personnel are to complete a practice induction programme managed by the Practice Manager.
Learning and Development
The effective use of training and development is fundamental to ensure staff are equipped with the appropriate skills, knowledge, attitude and competences. Mandatory training is required as directed by the training coordinator, and external training may be approved to enhance knowledge and skills.
Collaborative Working
All staff are to recognise the significance of collaborative working. Teamwork is essential in multidisciplinary environments. Effective communication is essential to enable the sharing of information.
Service Delivery
Staff must adhere to practice policies and regional directives, with detailed information provided during induction.
Security
The security of the practice is the responsibility of all personnel. Staff must stay vigilant and report suspicious activity. Do not share access codes and ensure restricted areas are secured.
Professional Conduct
Staff are required to dress appropriately for their role.
Leave
All personnel are entitled to take leave. Line managers should ensure a minimum of 6 weeks pro rata and 1 week study leave pro rata each year.
Primary Responsibilities
The following are core responsibilities of the salaried GP. There may be occasions to carry out other tasks depending on workload and staffing:
* The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
* The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
* Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
* Effective management of long-term conditions
* Processing administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other tasks
* On a rotational basis, undertake duty doctor roles
* Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with policy
* Work collaboratively, sharing the workload
* Adhere to best practice and clinical guidelines
* Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives
* Attend and contribute to practice meetings
* Support clinical governance, training, and HR
* Ensure compliance with appraisal and revalidation
* Commit to ongoing professional development
* Support the training of medical students
* Assist partners in achieving strategic aims and managing finances
* Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies
* Promote collaborative working and continuous improvement
