For Vacancies at Denominational Schools:
* Evidence of Catholic Church Approval must be provided upon application. If pending, confirmation of submission should be obtained from the Church Representative prior to interview.
* Applicants for denominational primary posts must hold the Catholic Teaching Certificate or Catholic Religious Education Certificate. Forms and further info are available from the Scottish Catholic Education Service (SCES) website.
* Applicants for denominational secondary posts need RC Approval for the specific school. Details are available from SCES.
Responsibilities
This post involves Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Membership of the PVG scheme is essential, or a PVG update check must be completed before an offer is made. The employment is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975; applicants must disclose all convictions, including spent ones, as failure to do so could lead to dismissal.
