About The Role
Seeking a Post Doctoral Research Assistant in Critical HRM (qualitative) with an emphasis on intersectionality, particularly mental health conditions, disabilities, and employment.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about the study of HRM and its intersection with disability studies, gender, mental health conditions, employment equality, feminist theories, Foucauldian, and critical theory. Responsibilities include:
1. Proactively contribute to and conduct research, including data gathering, preparation, analysis, and presentation of results, with a degree of independence in defining research focus and direction.
2. Prepare reports, draft patents, and papers describing research results, both confidential and for publication. Engage actively in writing and publishing research papers, especially for refereed international journals.
3. Be self-motivated, apply initiative, and seek guidance when necessary to address challenges.
4. Use creativity to analyze and interpret research data and draw meaningful conclusions.
5. Interact professionally with collaborators and partners within the university, industry, and academia.
6. Contribute to external funding applications to support research activities and the wider faculty and institution, including writing or contributing to such applications.
7. Help raise the university's external research profile.
8. Demonstrate professional development, identifying growth needs in line with the Vitae Researcher Development Framework, especially regarding probation, performance reviews, and training participation.
9. Maintain and strengthen links with professional institutions and related bodies.
