Reed is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and innovative insurance organisation based in central Bristol, for a Product Development Advisor to join their high-performing Product and Portfolio team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in insurance product development, to take ownership of product strategy and lifecycle management.
As a Product Development Advisor, you will be responsible for the execution, development, and roadmap of one or more insurance products. Acting as the voice of the customer, you will translate user needs into actionable requirements and ensure products remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with business goals.
Just a stones throw away from Bristol Temple Meads, the location is perfect for any commuters coming from further-afield for example Cardiff, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Swindon, Exeter.
35 hour working week, offering hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days in the office.
Duties
* Research and analyse customer needs using market data, user feedback, and performance metrics.
* Manage the full product lifecycle — from concept to launch and continuous improvement.
* Prioritise product backlogs based on business value, customer impact, and feasibility.
* Conduct annual product reviews and maintain a transparent product action log.
* Collaborate with underwriting, compliance, and development teams to deliver product enhancements.
* Ensure all product features comply with FCA and other relevant UK insurance regulations.
* Communicate product vision and strategy across the business and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
About You
* Experience in a product development, underwriting, or compliance role within the insurance or financial services sector.
* Strong understanding of the UK insurance market and regulatory landscape (e.g., FCA, Consumer Duty).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to translate customer insights and data into actionable product improvements.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Familiarity with tools like SharePoint and Power BI (desirable).
