Job Purpose
The Internal Audit Manager will lead and execute risk-based audits across the financial services business, providing independent assurance to senior management and the Board that key risks are identified, effectively managed, and controlled. This role will oversee a team of auditors, ensure adherence to professional standards, and deliver actionable insights to strengthen the organization's governance, risk management, and internal control environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Audit Planning & Execution
* Develop and deliver the annual risk-based internal audit plan in line with regulatory expectations and business priorities.
* Lead end-to-end audits (planning, fieldwork, reporting) across operations, finance, compliance, technology, and business units.
* Ensure audits are performed in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards.
* Risk & Control Assessment
* Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
* Identify emerging risks and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
* Leadership & Team Management
* Manage, mentor, and develop a team of internal auditors; set objectives and review performance.
* Foster a culture of integrity, curiosity, and professional growth.
* Stakeholder Engagement
* Present audit findings and recommendations to senior management, Audit Committee, and regulators as required.
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of audit issues and proactive risk management.
* Follow-up & Reporting
* Monitor remediation of audit findings and validate implementation of corrective actions.
* Prepare clear, concise audit reports for executive management and the Board Audit Committee.
